Iced Coffee Card - MFT Creative Construction with Blueprints

June 27, 2017

It's time for this month's MFT Creative Construction with Blueprints DT Challenge. This month we are challenged to create a masculine card using the Blueprints Die-namics.

I used the Blueprints 31 Die-namics and combined it with the Cool Cup Die-namics and the Stay Cool stamp set. I followed one of the provided sketches for my layout.

To create my iced coffee cup, I die cut a cup from watercolor paper, blended some brown Distress Inks (Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, and Gathered Twigs) on it, and added some ink spatters. I die cut another cup from acetate and covered the inked cup with it for more realistic look.

I applied just a little bit liquid adhesive only to the top and the bottom edges of the acetate cup. I topped my iced coffee with whipped cream which I distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
The rest part of the card was done by the Blueprints 31 Die-namics! I just needed to choose papers. ;)

Head on over to the MFT blog to see what the other DT members have come up with for today! I'm sure you will see a lot of inspirational creations.

Kind - MFT Color Challenge #72

June 22, 2017

It's been a busy week on my blog. It's rare that I post here four days in a row, except the MFT Countdown week! LOL!!

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I made for the MFT Color Challenge #72.

When I saw this color palette, I thought I would go with a nautical theme. But, I ended up with a completely different card from my initial idea. Ha ha!

I kept the design simple. First I stamped the words from the Kind Words stamp set with Blueberry and Cement Gray Premium Dye inks. I created the shelf with Cement Gray CS using the Kitschy Kitchen Die-namics, stamped & die-cut the images from the Kitschy Kitchen stamp set, and put them onto the shelf. That's all. :)

Head on over to the MFT Challenge & Inspiration bog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. I hope you'll play along for your chance to win a $50 gift voucher as a prize!

Thank you for stopping by!

Bling It On! - MFT WSC 338

June 21, 2017

Today I'm sharing a card I made for this weeks MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge (WSC 338).

As you see, I put two diamonds instead of the heart element in the sketch. I just thought these would construct a "heart" shape.

I die cut my frame from watercolor paper and watercolored it with Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks. I added some watercolor wash onto the inside panel using the same inks and spattered a little Worn Lipstick ink over it.
I used Mermaid Lagoon and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks to watercolor my diamonds. I also added a little shimmer to the top layers (outlined ones) with a Wink of Stella pen, it may hard to see in the photo above though. I stamped a sentiment from the Bling It On stamp set with Gravel Gray ink and added a couple of silver sequins.
My card base was stamped with Geometric Grid Background using In the Buff ink.
